With the amount of money involved in the game, we have picked out the five wealthiest boxers in the world today.

Floyd Mayweather

There is nowhere else that a list of boxing’s richest men could begin than with Floyd Mayweather. The man whose nickname is ‘Money’ is the biggest earning boxer of all time, thanks mainly to his ability to command substantial pay-per-view audiences.

Mayweather competed between 1996 and 2017 and went unbeaten throughout that run, finishing with a record of 50 wins and no losses.

The 45-year-old generated an estimated 24 million pay-per-view buys and $1.67 billion in revenue during his storied career.

Mayweather’s net worth is estimated to be a whopping $450 million.

George Foreman

Second, on this list is a man who made his primary fortune after retiring from boxing. George Foreman had a record of 76-5 from his 81 professional fights and was a two-time world heavyweight champion.

Foreman fought in some of the most famous bouts of all time, including his knockout of Joe Frazier in 1973 and the iconic Rumble in the Jungle a year later.

However, Big George’s primary earnings came through his famous grill, which he is estimated to have earned $200 million from. His net worth is believed to be around $300 million.

Manny Pacquiao

The most recently retired of any fighter on this list, Manny Pacquiao was a huge pay-per-view pull throughout his career, which ended with the Filipino sporting a record of 62 wins, eight defeats and two draws.

Pacquiao was the first boxer to win major world titles in four of the eight glamour divisions and was paid handsomely as a result.

The 43-year-old, who is now in politics in his homeland, is believed to have generated $1.2 billion in pay-per-view buys throughout his career, including his loss to Floyd Mayweather.

His net worth is believed to be $220 million.

Oscar De La Hoya

Professional from 1992 until 2008, Oscar De La Hoya is thought of as one of the greatest boxers of all time and showed the earning power to back that up.

The Golden Boy won 11 world titles in six weight classes and took the lineal championship in three weight classes.

De La Hoya is also reported to have generated $700 million in pay-per-view sales. The 49-year-old’s net worth is believed to be roughly $200 million.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez

The only active fighter on this list, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, is the only boxer in history to become an undisputed champion at super middleweight and has won multiple world titles in various weight classes.

The Mexican has a professional record of 57 wins, two draws and two defeats from his 61 fights and his pay-per-view pull is reflected in the fact that his net worth is believed to be $180 million.
